Expedia.com, one of the world’s largest travel and lodging booking sites has ranked Estes Park among the 50 Top-Rated Destinations in North America. "These beloved vacation spots were chosen by verified Expedia reviewers throughout 2017 and rose to the top of over 4,600 reviewed cities," according to their announcement.
“It’s no surprise Estes Park is so highly regarded by Expedia reviewers. Obviously it’s an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. Its beautiful position near Rocky Mountain National Park alone would recommend it to anyone, but its other assets set it further apart. From Jazz Fest to unbelievably starry skies to lots of opportunities to eat, drink, shop, and explore, Estes Park is endlessly enjoyable,” said Lily Rogers, writer of the piece.
Our slice of alpine paradise comes in at number 40, and is one of just three cities on the list from the Rocky Mountain region, the others being Durango, CO and Bozeman, MT. This is Estes Park’s first year making Expedia’s Top 50 list, but only the second year of the list.
"What an honor to be recognized – especially by such a major booking platform like Expedia. They relied on user reviews to make their choices, so everyone in town should give themselves a pat on the back. This reflects the world-class vacation experience Estes Park provides," says Suzy Blackhurst, Visit Estes Park Interim CEO.
Surrounded on three sides by Rocky Mountain National Park and the Roosevelt National Forest on the other, Estes Park is Colorado's Original Playground. With over 300 miles of trails in the National Park alone, several lifetime's worth of rocks to climb, horseback riding, world-class lodging and sure-fire wildlife sighting Estes Park is a gem attracting travelers from worldwide.
